Iowa Scouts Honored by President Bush

There have been many reports of the preparation of the Boy Scouts at the Little Sioux Scout Camp that was hit by a tornado in June. President Bush honored the group at the White House on July 31st.
Today, the boys touched down at Baltimore-Washington International Airport a little after 5 a.m. EDT. They then boarded buses and, led by a State Patrol motorcade, headed for the White House. They had a brief meeting and photo opportunity with the president.
Bush told the Scouts he was honored to meet them and proud of their actions at Little Sioux. He encouraged them to stay in the Boy Scouts. He also asked whether any members of the group could be future presidents.
“Perhaps,” said a grinning Justin Mueller, 15, who was using a wheelchair because of injuries he received in the tornado. Justin was among 42 people injured in the storm.
