Boy Scouts Centennial D.C. Parade
Posted by admin under: centennial .
Scouting magazine has a cool story about how the National Capitol Area Council in Washington D.C. has gotten a rare addition to the capitol’s parade schedule. There will be a parade for the Boy Scouts of America in Washington D.C. on Sunday, July 25th at 1pm. Each council is allowed to have boys attend for them. Can your boy be part of that contingent? Call your council to find out!
Only four parades are permitted per year in Washington, D.C. on the Nationl Parade Route: Memorial Day, Independence Day, St. Patrick’s Day and the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. But this year, the District and the National Parks Service is welcoming one more – the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Grand Centennial Parade.

Venturers, members of a Venturing Crew, are classified by BSA as youth untill their 21st birthday. We have several Eagle Scouts in Crew 2125 who would like to participate in the Boy Scouts Centennial D.C. Parade. We will be paying quite a bit already, just to get there from Wellington, Florida. Would these scouts pay $20 each?
