Los Angeles Dodgers Love Girl Scouts
Posted by admin under: Community Partners .
While both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Simmons family, of whom Angela and Vanessa are members and GSUSA spokespersons, have had their share of scandal in the last week they came together on Saturdayto celebrate the Women’s Initiative Network (DodgersWIN).
Saturday is also DodgersWIN (Women’s Initiatives Network) Girl Scouts Day at Dodger Stadium, and all Girl Scouts in uniform are invited to participate in a pre-game parade around the warning track. DodgersWIN (Women’s Initiatives Network), created by Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt, is a network of initiatives that is designed to reach out to women and bring them closer to the game of baseball and its lifestyles.
Angela and Vanessa Simmons, from MTV’s hit reality shows “Run’s House and “Daddy’s Girls,” will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Angela and Vanessa are also the official spokeswomen of the Girl Scouts.
I’m glad to see the sisters continue their support for the GSUSA here in my hometown. I guess the girls in green (and blue and brown and khaki) were a good luck charm for the Dodgers as they slaughtered the San Francisco Giants with 8 unanswered runs.
