Tell Them You Love Them – Send Them a Card
Posted by admin under: Community Partners .
Scoutingnews.org has great partnership news for all Scouters on the Boy and Girl sides.
I’d like to introduce all the Scouting News readers to a great project that I was made aware of, and will be participating in.
The American Red Cross is partnering with Pitney Bowes this holiday season for the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign. For the second year in a row, they are collecting holiday cards to distribute to American service members, veterans and their families in the United States and around the world. Pitney Bowes is generously donating technology, resources and postage to make this holiday card program possible.
Dan has more info on his site and says if you send him a picture of your unit working on this project he’ll feature you on his world-famous site. I’ve got to get all my units working on it. I could use the exposure.

Thank you so much for letting people know about Holiday Mail for Heroes! I worked on this campaign and I was the one who alerted Dan at Scouting News. On behalf of Pitney Bowes and the Red Cross, I’d like to let you know that we surpassed our goal of 1 million cards! We ended up sorting and delivering 1,400,000 holiday cards to American soldiers, vets, and their families. We could have not accomplished this without bloggers like you!

Thanks again, we truly appreciate your help!
