Girl Scouts Welcome Returning Troops
Posted by admin under: community service; recognition .
From the Colony Courier-Leader of Texas.
American Legion Post 21 of The Colony along with The Colony Girl Scouts paid a visit to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Sunday to welcome troops home.
Their flight arrived around 3:45 p.m., and approximately 70 troops disembarked. Some troops were met by family but most caught other flights for various reasons.
Tables were set up by various organizations offering water, candy, etc.
The greeting group appeared to be around 110, but the applause for the troops made it seem like 300 were present, said Bill Longo with Post 21.
