Massive Troops to Troops Donation
Posted by admin under: community service .
My Girl Scout troop sold a couple cases of nuts and candy for the benefit of American service personnel. I think the Iowa Boy Scouts beat our commitment by just a little bit.
The Northeast Iowa Boy Scout Council recently presented the United Service Organizations with a $27,075 donation, which will enable the USO to continue providing care packages to the Armed Forces.
The donation was made possible through various communities that the council serves. Scouts presented the military pack option donation as they made their rounds in their most recent fundraiser.
Holy crow! Those Scouts can really organize and the citizens of Iowa are digging deep. Thanks!
