Scouts Help Prevent E. Coli Spread in Pembroke
Posted by admin under: community service .
When E. Coli was detected in the Penbroke, Massachusetts drinking water supply last week, city officials said they’d hand out bottled water until the matter could be cleared up. Given that the Boy Scouts of America has been going through an E. Coli outbreak in their camp in Goshen, Virginia, it only made sense that the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts would be among those volunteering to hand out the water as it became available.
Water is being distributed until 8 p.m. Monday at Pembroke High School. It is being delivered to elderly housing. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are helping hand out water.
Yet another reason why Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are some of the best kids in America.
