Boy Scouts of America IndyCar on TV March 28
Posted by admin under: competition .
How bad do you want to see the Boy Scouts of America IndyCar racing? Well, just tune in to ABC at 3:30 Eastern time for televised coverage. And read the quote below from the Scouting magazine article about this event and the cool straightaway on the race route.
After its inaugural race earlier this month on a wet track in Brazil, the No. 19 Boy Scouts of America IndyCar is ready for its U.S. debut.
The car will race in the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Fla., beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) Sunday. Racers will be tested on a 1.8-mile, 14-turn course that runs through the streets of St. Petersburg, hugs Tampa Bay, and then uses an airplane runway for its final straightaway.
Seems a little weird having a Brit race for the Boy Scouts of America, but I guess we can look at it as that’s where Scouting started, right? I mean, Baden-Powell was a fairly decent fellow.
