Don’t Forget Your Camera!
Posted by admin under: competition .
ScoutStuff.org just wrote me with a reminder that everyone should be snapping pix and getting them into the upload page in the next couple of days to be entered into the Boy Scouts of America photo contest. The prize is getting into the book being published called Boy Scouts of America: Today. The site to submit your pictures is here, but you should read the rules about it first.
Don’t Miss Out!
Submit your Photos by Midnight, March 31, 2010.
A picture is worth a thousand words – and a million memories – especially when it captures a treasured moment in Scouting. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your “image” of what the BSA means to you. Choose your favorite photos and enter the Boy Scouts of America: Today Photo Contest. Entries must be received by midnight, March 31, 2010.
Naturally, photos must be Scouting-related, and each photo must be submitted under one of twelve categories corresponding with the 12 Points of the Scout Law: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. Photos will be judged on Creativity and Photo Quality.
Once your photo is uploaded, it will be entered for a chance to be selected as one of the winning photographs to be featured in the photo book: Boy Scouts of America: Today.
You must be 13 years of age or older to enter; children under 13 may enter their photograph with parents’ or guardian’s permission. There is no limit to number of photos that may be entered. Please read the Official Contest Rules before submitting your photographs.
This contest is not open to employees of the Boy Scouts of America National Council or local councils or their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live); persons living in the same household of such employees, whether or not related, are also not eligible to participate. Employees should visit this site.
In addition to photo publication, each winner chosen will also receive a free copy of the book, plus a $50 Scoutstuff Gift Card.
