Flame Off!
Posted by admin under: Equipment .
Camping Blogger has an important note for people who may have a specific type of glove for cold weather. Be careful you don’t become the Human Torch.
Outdoor Research, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is recalling about 900 sets of gloves sold between November of 2008 and January of 2009 due to a potential burn hazard. The problem stems from a potential short circuit in the glove’s electric heating pad.
Because the gloves may be hazardous to the wearer, Outdoor Research is recommending consumers stop using them immediately and contact them at 1-888-467-4327 for a refund or replacement.
Want to see the flaming hands? Well, not flaming, but he has a pic of the gloves if you want to see electric hand-wear.
