Giving Mr. Thumbkin a Warm Home
Posted by admin under: Equipment .
Gear Guy at Boys’ Life magazine website has an answer for the question, “What do I look for in a pair of quality gloves?”. His best value is a pair for $65 from REI with removable linings and moisture protection. Good answer (as well as another recommendation).
My answer is more simple. I don’t do gloves. Mittens is my game. Shared heat for Mr. Thumbkin’s 4 brothers. Woolen mittens just like in all the old stories and nursery rhymes are what I go with. I got a great deal from Target one year and jumped all over buying two pair for myself and my son. Now that my daughter is old enough to brave the great white world I have to keep an eye out for her, too. I think I paid $15 for mine and they’ve literally frozen solid, but kept my hands cozy inside.
Don’t have a few months or years to find a good deal on mittens? Check out Gear Guy’s recommendations.
