Heart Attack Prices
Posted by admin under: Equipment .
Mom Poulsen is excited her son is in Cub Scouts. Then she saw the receipt for the uniform. I bet we lose more boys at the register in the Scout store than in any other way.
My son attended Boy Scouts for the first time on October 1. He was so excited. I picked up his uniform and book the Monday prior to the meeting. And wow! Who knew I was going to go broke. According to the man at the Boy Scout store, it is not a proper uniform when the scout wears the shirt with street clothes and socks. And as he kept blabbing …you need … blah, blah, blah, blah. I was thinking in the back of my mind, how can I get out of here before my purse is empty or my friend breaks out in a fight. Therefore, I wound up buying the pants (the bottoms can zip off and become shorts), shirt, socks, patches (with easy patch stick on stuff), a belt w/ buckle, a scarf w/ slider! The total for this getup was $92. I didn’t even have any money left to buy their cute scrapbook stuff! What a bummer.
…
Here’s one to laugh about.
The Sunday before scouts my son kicked his sister on the way into church. I immediately stopped him and told him he can’t be kicking his sister because scouts are nice to girls. And if you’re going to be in scouts you can’t be kicking girls. His reply, “FINE, then I won’t go to scouts!”
She’s hilarious and there’s stuff I didn’t include just because of length. Go over to her blog and read the whole entry. You’ll laugh (her humor), you’ll cry (the prices), you’ll fall in love all over again (now you’re just being weird).
