Tiny Marshmallow Roaster
Posted by admin under: Equipment .
This is the best idea for a marshmallow roaster I’ve seen yet. One of the problems with bringing wires and things for roasting marshmallows is how bulky, flimsy, or short they are. They can also present a safety hazard if they’re completely made out of metal because the heat travels up the wire. These little stick-ends called Grampa’s Firefork allow you to put an attachment at the end of a stick so you can roast a marshmallow over the fire without all of those other problems. You can wait to find a long stick at camp or you can bring along ones you like. This is so simple. Why didn’t I think of it? The other nice thing is that when it is time to wash up, you don’t have to try to fit the ends of long wires into your wash basin. Dunk them to bring down the temperature, then pop them off to let them soak and washing up should be easy. I just bought some new roasting sticks, too. Now, I have to debate whether or not to buy these nifty gadgets or stick with the stick I’m stuck with.
