Help! This Game is Growing With Me!
Posted by admin under: games .
I like the tagline for the game that Commissioner Cleary is recommending on his blog. It sounded interesting and I wanted to remember it as well as pass the word along. So here it is.
What I have been doing, since last weekend, is playing with my kids. Playing Nerf guns, or wrestling, or doing something. I found this game, called “Camp, The Game that Grows with You” and we have played it 4 out of the last 6 nights…
I am not advertising, but anyone remotely interested in the outdoors, and you should be, as you are probably a scouter, then this is the game for your whole family. It has multiple choice questions, with 4 skill levels on each card. You roll one dice, move that many places, and if the “footprints” are green, you get a question. Answer correctly, roll again. Answer wrong, your turn is over. There is also a few spots on the board that send you to the Cabin if you land on them. It’s not a bad thing, as when you get there, you have to read a fun fact. There are a couple of other rules to the game, but they are simple. The ages on the game? 4 to 100 and up to 8 players can play at a time.
Sounds fun to me, but then again I own about 200 board games. I can’t get the boys into Scrabble, but I’m a Scout magnet when I break out the Boggle.
