CEO Named for Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles

The Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles council will not be formed until December, 2008, but the search for the leader of that new council is complete. Lise L. Luttgens will be the CEO of the new Girl Scout council which will be formed from the current councils of Angeles Girl Scout Council, Girl Scout Council of Greater Long Beach, Girl Scouts - Joshua Tree Council (southeastern portion), Girl Scouts - Mount Wilson Vista Council, Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails Council, and Girl Scouts of the San Fernando Valley. Lise will start her position in September in preparation for the December merge.
Luttgens is a former Girl Scout and brings a history of working with and for non-profit organizations. Her role will put her in charge of a $14 million operating budget and a staff of 185 leading approximately 50,000 girls and 22,000 volunteers.
