Vanessa and Angela Simmons Struggle With Brand Clarity
Posted by admin under: media .
I don’t watch the MTV show “Daddy’s Girls” which is about the daughters of Joseph Simmons, one of the members of Run DMC and now a reverend. Like everybody else I knew in the latter half of the 80’s I’ve got an album of theirs that still gets put on the turntable occasionally (although I initially had a hard time replacing my turntable when it broke). Rev. Run’s daughters have their own reality show on MTV now and are supporters of the Girls Scouts of the USA. They attended the 51st convention held last year in Indianapolis and are still spokeswomen for our organization.
Apparently their TV fame makes Vanessa Simmons and Angela Simmons attractive targets for business proposals that might conflict with their Pastry Shoes and GSUSA spokeswomen image and this was the focus of last night’s episode. I’m embedding the video here, but you should click over to the episode page to read through the comments of girls who watched the show. There is hope for the future of our daughters!

I really like the show. I believe they are positive role models which is rare in today’s society. Keep up the good work girls!!
