GSUSA: Time in a Bottle
Posted by admin under: meetings .
Yeah, I guess our weekly meetings are like that. Time you spend now, but that gets bottled up as memories that you keep with you for a lifetime. It’s also a Jim Croce song that the girls were practicing tonight as part of their rededication ceremony in a week and a half. They will also be singing the Carpenters song “We’ve Only Just Begun” and reciting one line each from a poem while they post pictures of themselves on a calendar. So, obviously, the theme of this rededication is time.
That wasn’t the only thing they worked on, though. We’re going to be doing a community service at an upcoming Family Resource Fair that the city is putting on. The girls will be putting face paint on kids that come with their parents to learn more about city services. So, tonight, the girls had to sharpen their artistic skills and figure out which face painting things they had the ability to do. They produced an innumerable amount of hearts, snakes, rainbows, skulls, pumpkins, and ghosts among other things.
Since we had some time left over and some of the girls weren’t able to attend last night’s drive-in event we watched those movies that I had burned onto a DVD. We had an appropriate number of laughs.
Mmmm. Brownies are snack tonight and the girls are just finishing up another run-through of their rededication rehearsal. Time to go help them finish up.
