BSA Laser Tag No-No is a Maybe
Posted by admin under: policies .
Dan over at Scoutingnews.org has been keeping an eye on the BSA innovation engine and says that there are currently outlawed activities that the BSA is thinking about possibly making legal in the program. I think Laser Tag will probably make the cut. We stopped doing it when we found out that it was against the regs, but I know other troops that still do it and my Girl Scouts also do (which is small consolation since it’s nearly impossible to get clearance for actual rifle shooting in the GSUSA).
Each of the top four activities are being vetted independently on the BSA Innovation Engine to see what people think about each idea.
See what is being said about looking into the following activities:
- Laser Tag in Scouting
- All Terrain Vehicles in Scouting
- Paintball in Scouting
- Jet Skiing in Scouting
At this time only those with myBSA logins can vote and comment on an idea, so if you feel strongly go track down your friendly neighborhood professional!
Remind them how you turned your recharter in on time for brownie points.
