No Time Metric Says Andy
Posted by admin under: policies .
There’s a new entry for “Ask Andy” where the commissioner character “Andy” answers questions, just like the crusty old curmudgeon you love and fear in your troop. Since he answers many question there are many interesting things to read about. In the second to last entry Andy says that the term “active” as it refers to Boy Scouts involvement in the program means that the boy has done his best to attend what he can in the troop. This is of particular interest to me because my biggest issue with some of the Scouts in my troop has been the “active participation” part of their requirements. I’ll have to think about this one because Andy was pretty vague and “do your best” really depends on the level of trust you have in each Scout. In any event, you may like some of the answers given by Andy so you should check it out.
