Boy Scout Themes
Posted by admin under: program .
How about that? I never knew or if I knew never remembered that there are supposed to be Boy Scout themes. I use the Cub Scout themes all the time in my pack because it helps to unify the pack meeting for skits and things like that. ScoutSigns says Boy Scouts have them, too.
2009 Monthly Themes
January–Hobbies
February–Public Service
March–Cultural Diversity/Disability Awareness
April–Wildlife Management
May–Camping
June–Emergency Preparedness
July–Health Care
August–Boating/Canoeing
September–Safety
October–Nature
November–Business
December–First Aid
Now we usually make our annual calendar in May and many of the troop meetings center around our upcoming events, but I bet there’s still some room for these themes if the guys want to have a little direction in how to plan.

Check with your Roundtable Commissioner, or go straight to BSA Roundtable Planning Guide

(Of course, Roundtable lists theme for month ahead, so December 09 Roundtable covers Winter Camping theme for January 2010)
