New York society comes out for Girl Scouts according the the Big Apple’s social diary.

Event Description:
The Girl Scout Council of Greater New York will “Celebrate Brownie Points” at its 34th Annual Tribute Dinner on Tuesday, April 30, 2009, by honoring seven remarkable women for their community service: Jessica Bibliowicz, Chairman and CEO, National Financial Partners; Michelle R. Clayman, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer New Amsterdam Partners LLC; Jill Granoff, Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc.; Frances Hesselbein, Chairman and Founding President Leader to Leader Institute/The Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management and former CEO, Girl Scouts of the USA; Jane Randel, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Liz Claiborne Inc.; Deirdre Stanley, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Thomson Reuters; and Marjorie B. Tiven, Commissioner of the New York City Commission for the United Nations, Consular Corps and Protocol. Fernanda Kellogg is the Dinner Chair. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg is our special guest. Deborah Norville is the emcee. The Tribute Dinner will commence at 6:30 PM with the Reception; followed by the Dinner, Live Auction and Program at 7:30 PM. Ticket prices start at $750. Why do I never think of things like this? Sure, just ask a bunch of famous people to come to a dinner and charge everyone $750. That’ll work. Glad to see the mayor staying true to his Scouting roots even if it was for the other gender.
