Our Eagle Scout President
Posted by admin under: recognition .
The Gerald R. Ford Council of the Boy Scouts of America will honor its namesake at a special ceremony Tuesday night (Oct. 28) at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids.
Ford, a Grand Rapids native, was an Eagle Scout, Congressman, Vice-President, then President of the United States.
The highlight of the ceremony will be the placement of a life-size statue of a 16-year-old Eagle Scout Gerald R. Ford.
It was a tough time for Ford and few people will say that he was a remarkable President, but one thing for sure is he was one of ours. Glad to see him getting recognized the the Boy Scouts of America. I’m glad the White Lake Beacon shared the story with everyone.
