Georgia
Frederick Kriesel, a senior at Oconee County High School, was awarded the Eagle Scout rank by his scoutmaster Paul Matthews of Oconee County Troop 149 for the 60 bluebird houses he built and placed inside Sandy Creek Park.

Kentucky
David Michael Dye was awarded his Eagle Scout rank in October at Meadowthorpe Presbyterian Church. For his Eagle Scout project, Dye remodeled the church nursery, covering block walls with drywall mounted on a two-by-four frame with insulation to better control room temperature.

Mark West, 17, son of Nancy West and James West, of Kalamazoo, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 211.

Mississippi
An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held by Boy Scout Troop 381 to recognize St. Stanislaus seniors Guy Wood, Kyle Gurley and Daniel Gleber. For his Eagle project, Wood led the landscaping of the Diboll Plaza at St. Stanislaus. his Eagle project, he restored and landscaped the school sign at the front entrance at St. Stanislaus. For his Eagle project, he led the restoration of the retaining wall across the front of St. Stanislaus College.

Missouri
Scott Stevens, Derik Keith and David Chaney were presented with their awards during ceremonies at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Trenton. For his Eagle project, Stevens painted the church of the Nazarene. For his Eagle Project, Keith cleaned up and cleared out the Old Union Cemetery. For his Eagle project, Chaney planned the financing and erection of two concrete benches and repairs to the entrance stops of the Willis Chapel Cemetery at Brimson.

Oklahoma
Harris Sweigart, 15, a member of BSA Troop 11 in Edmond, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle project, Sweigart planned and carried out the construction of an in-ground worm composting bin at Keystone Adventure School and Farm in Edmond. This project involved 178 hours, including his supervision of nine youth volunteers and six adult volunteers.

South Carolina
Arthur Bernard Stubbs, IV of Mount Pleasant received the Boy Scouts’ highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, during a ceremony at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 2. For his Eagle Scout project, Arthur assisted in the restoration of a section of Charles Town Landing investing approximately 25 hours in his project. Under the direction and cooperation of Rob Powell of Charles Town Landing and Rick McConnell, assistant scoutmaster, Arthur coordinated the project by contacting individual members of his troop to get a commitment for their help. He then called them later, individually, to remind them of their pledge of assistance, the importance of wearing the appropriate clothing and to bring the proper tools and “bug spray”. Together they cleared the area he had chosen for his project, the Wedding Garden, by cutting the undergrowth and pulling out the wild vines. They also painted the arbor in the garden. Because of a tight budget, the area had been in a neglected state, and the work accomplished by Arthur and his project was much appreciated.

Texas
Jackson Pate, 15, made landscape improvements to the physical therapy area of Operation Kindness in Carrollton, a no-kill animal shelter. He is in Troop 714, a freshman at Vines High School and the son of Sharon and Glenn Pate of Plano. Eagle Scout is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. To earn the honor, Scouts must complete a service project and other requirements. These youths have earned the honor.

Taylor Farish, 18, built shelving and organized closets for Holy Covenant United Methodist Church. He is in Troop 574, a senior at Hebron High School and the son of Karen and Steve Farish of Carrollton.

Richard Hansen, 17, built a garden shed for Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano. He is in Troop 1001, a senior at Jesuit College Preparatory School and the son of Susan and Rick Hansen of Richardson.

Benton Cockerell, 16, built shelves and organized antiques for the historic Copeland Home and museum in Grand Prairie. He is a member of Troop 498, a sophomore at South Grand Prairie High School and the son of Janis and Les Cockerell of Grand Prairie.

Adam Goodnight, 17, organized collections of soccer equipment for low-income areas. He is a member of Troop 191, a junior at Lake Dallas High School and the son of Deanna and David Goodnight of Lake Dallas.

Samuel Nagy, 18, worked with his troop to build Olympic-style award podiums and a large cabinet to hold film paper for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. He is a member of Troop 800, a senior at Jesuit College Preparatory School and the son of Rosalie and Joseph Nagy of Dallas.

Virginia
Jonathan Bryan Charnock, 16, a member of Boy Scout Troop 48, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. His project was to construct a walkway for the outdoor classroom at Menchville High School.

Scott Bracero recently earned Eagle Scout rank and is a frequent volunteer in the community. Scott hopes to serve his country by either attending West Point or joining the ROTC program at his college of choice.
