Chelsea Keith, a senior Girl Scout with Troop 355, has received the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve — the Gold Award and it all began with a book. For her project, Keith renovated Credence High School’s library. She started the project last spring and worked on it through the summer in order to have it ready for student use at the beginning of the school year.

The Kiwanis Club of Okemos named Allison Findlay, a senior at Okemos High School, its Citizen of the Month for November. Awards Allison has received are the Girl Scout Gold Award, national recipient of The Prudential Spirit of the Community Award Distinguished Finalist, and many others. She has both the Girl Scout Silver and Bronze Awards.
