I Love the Sound of this Recruitment
Posted by admin under: recruitment .
Chicago seems to be the hotbed of Scout related news lately and I guess that will continue based on their recruitment drive covered by the media site riverforest-leaves.com. Somewhere near there, Oak Park, they’re recruiting Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts at the same time at an event named the Scoutapalooza.
In my mind you can’t go wrong by adding -apalooza to anything to make it sound cooler. What kind of sandwich is that? Meatapalooza. What kind of sale at the hardware store? Toolapalooza. We’ve got more than 31 flavors. It’s an ice creamapalooza.
Seriously, though, I hope their recruitment is a successapalooza. It already sounds like it.
Elementary, middle school and high school boys and girls and their parents are invited to join in a variety of games and talk to local leaders about their respective programs. Activities will include an all-ages climbing wall, dunk tank and moon walk (ages up to 12), plus Scout games and demonstrations. All activities are free.
