OK GSUSA, Hispanics Eager
Posted by admin under: recruitment; scouters .
Girl Scouts – Western Oklahoma’s popularity is growing in Spanish speaking households. In fact, girls who come from bilingual families are among the fastest growing membership bases in Girl Scouts today. To better help GS-West serve bilingual girls and families, the local council is in need of volunteers who can speak and translate English to Spanish. “We are looking for dedicated adults who want to make a difference in the lives of girls, particularly in the Hispanic community,” said Cathy Stackpole, CEO.
And we haven’t even implemented the new changes yet. If this is a national trend then the BSA will have to take a look at what the GSUSA is doing to figure out how to increase their latino membership.
