Nifty Cub Software – Spreadsheets

Frank Steele has a web site that has some really nifty spreadsheets for tracking your Cub Scout advancement using Excel or Open Office Calc (I have no clue what that is). I’m starting a Tiger Cub den this year and I will defnintely be using his spreadsheets for our pack. So, I’m passing along his site link: http://trax.boy-scouts.net/cubtrax.htm
He’s also interested in good Girl Scout spreadsheets if you’ve got something you guys can collaborate on. Being an Excel guy I might just do that myself or use whatever comes recommended. Pass it along and I’ll be updating this post to include the best information I find.

Are the spreadsheets current? The latest date I saw on the webpage was 2005… Have there been changes to the advancement since then?

Most of the spreadsheets have been updated in 2007 and some as recently as July 1st, 2008. Hey, that’s today! There are small changes made to the Cub advancement program all the time and the Tiger program was updated in 2001.

Any progress with Frank or by you on a Girl Scout spreadsheet for tracking cookie sales? I have a haphazard, jury-rigged one that I can offer up as a starting point. My daughter is a high seller, and it’s getting difficult to track everything now that we’ve added another daughter to the cause! Thanks

I just found the site and am amazed at the trackers, especially for the girl scouts Juniors badge tracker – they are wonderful spreadsheets.
For EMMA – the cookie sales are tracked using the Girl Scount’s eBudde web tool – if you’re the ‘cookie mom’ you should have received training and access to use ths site to not only track but place orders. I’m in my 3rd year and the tool is getting better each year with less paper forms required because of eBudde. Check with your service unit for eBudde information.

I’ve been trying to get on to this site for a month or so now. We have two new Tiger Dens that I need to set up with tracking….and I keep getting the message that this page is no longer available! I see where someone got to the girl scout site….has anyone else had trouble or is it just me?!
