Troopmaster is selling blue cards
Posted by admin under: Software .
I’ve found Troopmaster to be a very good program although I was fairly miffed when they decided to rent the software instead of selling it. You have to renew it annually instead of simply using it as you used to. To tell the truth that still has me entertaining the idea of switching to another package, but we’ve got years worth of data in the troopmaster system.
Their latest endeavor is selling blue cards that can be used to making the system faster for Scoutmasters to hand out blue cards for summer camp when you have hoards of boys asking to work on multiple merit badges. This one confuses me. How hard is it to buy a stack of blue cards, make the boys fill them out themselves and then sign the ones you think are able to handle it? Meh.
Still here’s the link in case you think it’s worth the bother and expense or if you can think of some other reason it’s better than regular merit badge application blue cards: http://troopmaster.com/products/boyscouts/boy_scouts.php?boy_tabset__tab=3
