A Convenient Excuse
Posted by admin under: Outings; Uncategorized .
About 150 Girl Scouts will attend a workshop and a play called, The Miracle Worker at Bonfils Theater in Denver on November 15th and 22nd. In the lobby prior to the show, from 11:00 to 12:30, they will encounter guide dog pups in training.
The mixer is organized by Have Paws Will Travel and the Girl Scouts of Colorado Council. HPWT is a sixteen year old guide dog puppy raising club in Arapahoe County. Volunteers have raised almost two hundred dogs to serve Colorado’s citizens. Girl Scouts will learn about guide dog manners and responsibilities and puppy raising techniques. Club Leader Carmen Moyer told me that people often discover at these events that guide dogs are available free of charge for their visually impaired andblind loved ones.
Now for the confession. It was all a convenient excuse to show pictures of cute puppies. Aw!
