Is Woman-Owned Important?
Posted by admin under: Uncategorized .
Earthtimes.org posted a PRNewswire item stating that The Zamzow Group, Inc. has been certified as being a woman-owned accounting services firm which only relates to Scouting as it was noted that they provide services for Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. Well, they will as soon as that council comes into being on December 1st.
So, does that mean that Girl Scouts is making a point to shun male owned companies in favor of female owned ones? Is it important that not only the workers, but the people who provide the workers are female?
I guess I’m just not seeing it. If Zamzow provided all of the people for the BSA I don’t think it would impinge on the focus of the leaders to provide quality male role models for the boys.
Who knows? It could be a coincidence. I bet they were just the best company for the job and the fact that they are now proud of their woman-owned certification is just a strange juxtaposition of ownership and clientele. Right?
