Pinewood Derby Sans Scouts
Posted by admin under: Uncategorized .
Apparently the idea of a pinewood derby is so entrancing for the members of the Bigfoot Lodge Car Club they’ll be adding it to their periodic schedule. I don’t know if you get mocked or cheered for wearing your old merit badge sash.
The last Tuesday of every month, beginning at 9pm, Bigfoot Lodge turns from local bar, to a miniature wooden Grand Prix. Entries are inspected by officials and racers are put to the test with a double elimination. The event is complete with race fans, flag girls and whole lot of drink specials!
So widdle that wood ‘cause Nascar ain’t got nothing on this!
Bigfoot Lodge was opened in 1999 by club designer Bobby Green who also designed and built theme nightclubs Bigfoot Lodge San Francisco, Saints & Sinners in Culver City, The Little Cave in Highland Park, Stinkers in Silver Lake. Bigfoot Lodge West, in West Los Angeles, will be opening this year.
Bigfoot Lodge Los Angeles is located at 3172 Los Feliz Blvd, LA, CA. 90027. Myspacers can find Bigfoot at: www.myspace.com/bigfootlodge
For more information, please call Bigfoot Lodge at 323-662-9227
Based on recent trends, don’t look for the BSA to defend the copyright of the Pinewood Derby term.

Damn, I wish I were closer! The PWD is what my family misses most from the Cubs.
