Pinewood Mania

Sitting here in the office without anything to do at the moment so I’m looking at youtube videos of pinewood derbie cars. I love this first one because it shows a son and dad working together on the car with dad showing junior how to operate the machinery. That’s a father-son moment for a lifetime memory.
This one is awesome because the track has been painted different colors for each lane and the end part is a banked turn. Cool!
And how fun would it be to add a loop to the track? Yeah!
What would it be like to actually miniaturize yourself and drive a pinewood derby car? Like this!
Wow. Massive track with 8 lanes. That’s enormous!
Good grief. There’s an entire website with a forum dedicated to derby stories: http://derbytalk.com/. How to build, calculate lane speeds, all kinds of stuff. Too cool!
